Q. I'm going to be attending filmschool in the fall and I will be buying my first Mac(for use with final cut pro) What should I get with what features? Right now it seems like the Mac Pro is the only way to go. I want something profesional that I'll be able to use professionally after I graduate. I'll be making a bunch of shorts and a feature over the next 3 years with it. What processor speed, memory, hard drive(s), Graphics Card, Display, and other features should I order when customizing it? What should I buy seperately? (the monitor for example?) I don't want to spend more money than I have to, but I also don't want to sacrifice what I need for a cheaper price. Any suggestions? I'm looking for detailed recomendations of what setup I… [cont.]

A. you'll need a high end dual core cpu or a high end quad core cpu in your pc with dual graphics cards, and alot of ram 3gb or more also you'll need a decent soundcard in it too and a huge 500gb hard drive possibly 2 500gb hard drives. believe me when it comes to video rendering the better your pc the quicker the job gets done.
